A reminder can be useful without displaying a medication name to everyone nearby. Privacy and delivery are separate settings: hiding text does not guarantee an alert will sound.
Choose what COVE displays
Detailed medication notifications are on by default. In COVE, open Settings → Notifications and disable detailed medication text if you want names hidden. Check a test notification on the lock screen before relying on the setting.
Check your phone as well
Review notification permission, preview visibility and Focus or Do Not Disturb settings. Apple documents notification permissions and preview controls in Change notification settings on iPhone. Check your own device settings and test the result; hiding text and receiving an audible alert are separate controls.
COVE does not guarantee delivery or bypass iPhone silent mode. Android behaviour also depends on device permissions and settings. Keep a separate backup reminder for a time-critical dose.
Keep the clinic's timing
A meeting is not a reason to invent a new medication window. Ask your clinic about timing and preparation before changing your plan. The Guy's and St Thomas' NHS egg-collection guide explains the relationship between the trigger and collection time. Follow the exact time your own clinic gives you; an app does not determine a safe delay.
Understand the privacy boundary
Hiding notification text protects what appears on the screen; it does not make the app local-only. COVE uses encrypted cloud storage and AppsFlyer campaign attribution, without sending medication, lab or journal content for attribution. See the privacy policy.
COVE is available on iPhone and Android. Features can differ by platform and version; check your store listing before subscribing.
